How many hours of approved pre-licensing education must a candidate complete before sitting for the Georgia Personal Lines agent exam?

A20 hours
8 hours
C24 hours
D30 hours

Why this is the answer

Rule 120-2-3-.14 requires a resident Personal Lines applicant, unless exempt, to complete an approved prelicensing course in personal lines of at least eight hours and to pass the licensing exam within 12 months of finishing the course. The same eight-hour minimum applies to each major line of authority under Rule 120-2-3-.07 (Life, Accident and Sickness, Property, Casualty, and Personal Lines), so a candidate for both Property and Casualty takes eight hours for each. The 24-hour figure is the biennial continuing education requirement, not prelicensing.
