What are the minimum bodily injury and property damage liability limits required for a private passenger auto policy in Georgia?
25/50/25 ($25K per person / $50K per accident / $25K property damage)
B15/30/10 ($15K per person / $30K per accident / $10K property damage)
C30/60/25 ($30K per person / $60K per accident / $25K property damage)
D50/100/50 ($50K per person / $100K per accident / $50K property damage)
Why this is the answer
Georgia's compulsory financial responsibility law requires every owner of a motor vehicle registered in the state to maintain liability coverage of at least $25,000 per person for bodily injury, $50,000 per accident for bodily injury, and $25,000 per accident for property damage. The limits are set in O.C.G.A. § 33-7-11(a)(1)(A); § 33-34-4 requires owners to carry coverage equivalent to the financial responsibility requirement, and § 40-9-37 accepts a policy as proof of financial responsibility only at or above those limits.
