Texas combined L&H or P&C starts with a $49 exam and $50 filing fee. California lists a $55 exam and $188 filing fee. Fingerprints, education and processing costs require their own quotes.

Example: one Texas attempt plus one filing is $99 before variable charges. One California attempt plus one filing is $243 before variable charges.

Texas: the September 2026 Pearson VUE handbook lists a $49 exam fee for General Lines Life, Accident & Health and General Lines Property & Casualty. The Texas Department of Insurance lists a $50 application fee. Texas candidate handbook Β· TDI application instructions.

California: the Department of Insurance licensing fee table lists a $55 examination fee and $188 filing fee for combined Life & Health or Property & Casualty. The March 2026 candidate bulletin gives $74 for CDI’s Live Scan vendor; other providers can vary.

The tool estimates one resident individual combined license application. It does not price separate later authorities, nonresident reciprocity, transaction charges, travel or future renewals. Unknown fields remain explicitly unknown rather than being counted as zero.
