What is the approximate maximum dwelling coverage limit available through the Ohio FAIR Plan?
A$50,000
$1,000,000
C$200,000
DUnlimited, with no cap on the dwelling structure
Why this is the answer
Under the Ohio FAIR Plan Plan of Operation authorized by R.C. 3929.43, basic property coverage on a dwelling is capped at approximately $1,000,000 on the structure. The cap reflects the Plan's purpose as a basic safety-net, not a substitute for full voluntary-market homeowners limits. Owners of higher-value homes must either secure voluntary coverage or use a difference-in-conditions wrap above the cap.
