A producer licensed in Alabama applies for a Georgia non-resident P&C license under O.C.G.A. § 33-23-16. Which condition is the Commissioner authorized to require before issuing the license?
Home-state good standing and a uniform application
BCompletion of Georgia's 40-hour P&C pre-licensing course
CA passing score on the Georgia licensing exam
DPhysical residence in Georgia for at least 90 days
Why this is the answer
O.C.G.A. § 33-23-16 implements NAIC's reciprocity model. If the applicant's home state would license a Georgia resident under similar terms, the Commissioner issues the non-resident license on receipt of the uniform application, the appropriate fee, and proof the home-state license is current and in good standing. No Georgia exam, pre-licensing, or residency is required.
