1. 1

   Nevada’s 75% is a real percentage

   The score is reported on a 0–100 scale and is the actual percentage of questions you answered correctly. Most states report a scaled score that is explicitly not your percentage correct — Nevada does not. You need 75%.

2. 2

   Twelve months to retake the half you failed

   Pass one part and fail the other and you retake only the failed part within twelve months. After twelve months without both passed, the entire examination starts over.

   Apply within 12 months, with results dated inside 12 months

   The application and fee must reach the Nevada Real Estate Division within 12 months of passing, and the original state and national passing results you submit must be dated within the last 12 months.

   Contracts and disclosures are 43% of the state portion

   Contracts 23% and disclosures 20% — together more than four in ten questions. The Seller’s Real Property Disclosure and the Residential Disclosure Guide are named outright in the outline.

   The Commission’s own powers are only 2%

   Duties and powers of the Commission is 2% and record keeping 3% — under two questions each. Do not spend study time proportional to how much of the statute they occupy.

   120 hours, with 18 of them Nevada law

   The requirement rose from 90 to 120 hours on 1 October 2021. Within it, 45 hours of Real Estate Law must include 18 hours specifically of Nevada law — which is the material the state portion tests.

7. 7

   Fingerprints go to the Department of Public Safety

   A fingerprint card with a cashier’s check or money order payable to the Department of Public Safety, or a verification form from an approved vendor. It is a separate agency on a separate timeline — start it early.

   Five to ten unscored pretest items, inside your time

   Both portions carry 5 to 10 pretest questions that are not scored but are included in the time allotted. Budget for more questions than the scored counts suggest.

   Book the combination or pay twice

   The salesperson combination exam is $100 and covers both portions. Each portion booked on its own is also $100 — so scheduling them separately costs $200 for the same two exams.
