Which peril is NOT included in the HO-2 Broad Form named-perils list?
AWindstorm and hail
Flood
CVandalism and malicious mischief
DWeight of ice, sleet, or snow
Why this is the answer
The HO-2 Broad Form covers a specific list of named perils including fire and lightning, windstorm and hail, explosion, riot, aircraft, vehicles, smoke, vandalism and malicious mischief, theft, falling objects, weight of ice/sleet/snow, accidental discharge of water, sudden tearing/cracking of heating systems, freezing of plumbing, sudden damage from electrical current, and volcanic eruption. Flood is universally excluded from all standard HO forms (HO-2 through HO-8) and requires a separate NFIP policy or private flood endorsement. This is among the most-tested HO exam facts.
