Under the ISO Personal Auto Policy (PP 00 01) Part A — Liability Coverage, which of the following supplementary payments is paid IN ADDITION to the Limit of Liability shown in the Declarations?
Why this is the answer
Part A's Limit of Liability caps the BI/PD damages the insurer will pay. Supplementary payments are paid IN ADDITION to that limit and include: up to $250 for bail bonds arising from an accident (including related traffic violations), premiums on appeal/release-of-attachment bonds, post-judgment interest, up to $250/day for loss of earnings while attending hearings at the insurer's request, and other reasonable expenses incurred at the insurer's request. BI/PD damages themselves come OUT OF the limit, and punitive damages, where state law lets them be covered at all, are damages within the limit, never on top of it. See ISO PP 00 01 Part A — Supplementary Payments.
