Under the ISO HO-3 Special Form, how are the dwelling (Coverage A) and personal property (Coverage C) covered with respect to perils?

ABoth Coverage A and Coverage C are written on a named-perils basis
BCoverage A is named-perils; Coverage C is open-perils
Coverage A is open-perils; Coverage C is named-perils
DBoth Coverage A and Coverage C are written on an open-perils basis

Why this is the answer

The ISO HO-3 Special Form is the workhorse owner-occupied homeowners contract. It insures Coverage A (Dwelling) and Coverage B (Other Structures) against risk of direct physical loss (open-perils) subject to exclusions, but personal property under Coverage C reverts to a named-perils list of 16 covered causes of loss — fire or lightning, windstorm or hail, explosion, riot or civil commotion, aircraft, vehicles, smoke, vandalism or malicious mischief, theft, falling objects, weight of ice, snow or sleet, accidental discharge or overflow of water or steam, sudden and accidental tearing apart, cracking, burning or bulging, freezing, sudden and accidental damage from artificially generated electrical current, and volcanic eruption (ISO HO 00 03 Section I — Perils Insured Against).
