Under Florida's Financial Responsibility Law, which coverages are mandatory for ALL registered private passenger vehicles in Florida?

PIP ($10,000) and PDL ($10,000) only — BI liability is NOT required for most drivers
BPIP ($10,000), PDL ($10,000), and BI ($10,000/$20,000) for all drivers
CBI ($25,000/$50,000) and PDL ($10,000) — PIP is optional in Florida
DPIP ($25,000) and BI ($10,000/$20,000) — PDL is optional

Why this is the answer

Florida law (§627.733 for PIP, §324.022 for property damage) requires only two coverages for private passenger vehicle registration: PIP ($10,000) and Property Damage Liability ($10,000). Bodily injury liability coverage is NOT mandatory for the average Florida driver — a significant difference from the majority of states. BI becomes mandatory only in specific circumstances: after a DUI conviction, after certain at-fault crashes, or when a court judgment requires proof of financial responsibility. Option B incorrectly mandates BI. Option C reverses the system (BI mandatory, PIP optional). Option D uses the wrong PIP amount ($25K) and incorrectly mandates BI. This FL-only structure is a frequent exam trap for candidates from other states (§§627.733, 324.022).
