On a Massachusetts personal auto policy, what per-person limit of optional Medical Payments coverage must the insurer sell if the insured wants it?

A$1,000
$5,000
C$25,000
DIt is not available because PIP already exists

Why this is the answer

The Massachusetts Automobile Insurance Policy makes Medical Payments (Part 6) optional. The insurer must sell limits of $5,000 per person if the insured wants them, and higher limits may be purchased if the insured and insurer agree. Part 6 pays reasonable medical and funeral expenses from an accident, but not expenses payable under the mandatory PIP coverage required by c. 90 §34A.
