# Florida Life & Health β Licensing & Regulation Overview > Supplemental exam prep. Verify all numeric requirements directly with the Florida DFS before exam day. ## 1. License Types - **2-15** Life, Health & Variable Annuity Agent - **2-14** Life including Variable Annuity (no health) - **2-40** Health Agent ## 2. Pre-Licensing Education - **2-15** requires **215 hours** of approved pre-licensing coursework. - **2-40** requires **60 hours**. ## 3. Continuing Education - **24 hours every two years**, including a **5-hour Law and Ethics Update**. ## 4. Replacement Rules Agents must provide the applicant with a *Notice Regarding Replacement* and a comparison statement when replacing a life or annuity contract. ## 5. Unfair Trade Practices (FL Statute 626.9541) Prohibited: - Twisting - Rebating (with limited statutory exceptions) - Defamation of insurers - Misrepresentation of policy provisions - Boycott, coercion, intimidation ## 6. Free Look - Life: **14 days** - Health: **10 days** (most products) ## 7.
