What is the standard (non-replacement) free-look period for an individual life insurance policy delivered in Illinois, as set forth in 50 Ill. Adm. Code 917 and IDOI practice?

A5 days
10 days
C20 days
D30 days

Why this is the answer

For a standard (non-replacement) individual life policy issued in Illinois, the owner must be allowed at least 10 days from delivery to examine the policy and return it for a full refund of premium. Replacement contracts are governed by 50 Ill. Adm. Code 917 and require a longer 20-day free-look. The free-look period is separate from grace, reinstatement, and incontestability.
