Under Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 120-2-94, a Georgia producer who intends to solicit annuity sales must complete which initial training requirement before the first solicitation?
ATwenty-four hours of pre-licensing annuity training
BEight hours of long-term care training only
A one-time four-credit annuity course
DNo additional training beyond initial life license
Why this is the answer
Under Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 120-2-94-.07, a producer may not sell annuities until completing a one-time annuity training course of at least four CE credits, approved by the department and given by an approved education provider; the producer must also know the specific product, and may rely on the insurer's product training for that. There is no separate Georgia-specific hour. Georgia's eight-hour long-term care training applies to Partnership policies (120-2-16-.34). The insurer must verify the training before letting the producer sell its annuities.
