Most testing centers require two forms of government-issued photo ID. You'll also need your exam confirmation email or scheduling number, and your Authorization to Test (ATT) letter. A basic, non-programmable calculator is allowed at most centers, but smartphones, smart watches, and study materials are strictly prohibited.
Your exam experience depends on your state. Some states use PSI as their testing provider, while others use Pearson VUE or state-run testing centers. Our checklist automatically shows the correct provider, required documents, and testing center details based on your state selection.
Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep the night before. Eat a balanced breakfast with protein and complex carbs. Arrive at the testing center at least 30 minutes early. During the exam, read each question carefully, watch for trick words like "EXCEPT" and "NOT," and don't spend more than 1-2 minutes on any single question. Flag difficult questions and return to them after completing the rest.
Take a full mock exam to make sure you're ready. Then use your checklist to prepare for the real thing.
