Not subject knowledge — that comes from practice questions. These are the procedural rules candidates lose the exam to: how the threshold is applied, what a partial fail means, and the deadlines that void a pass.

Book both portions on one order and the second is free
Pearson lists $75 for the Oklahoma portion and $75 for the national portion, but any two exams scheduled at the same time on the same order are discounted two-for-one — the handbook’s own example is the state and national salesperson exams costing $75 in total. Book them on separate orders and the same two exams cost $150.

One year of authorization, unlimited attempts
Approval to test from the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission is valid for one year and includes unlimited attempts at each portion. Very few states place no cap on attempts — Illinois cuts you off at four.

You can sit them on different days — but book them together
Each portion may be taken on its own or consecutively, so splitting 240 minutes across two days is a real option. Just put both on one order when you book, or the split costs you an extra $75.

Ten unscored pretest items on the state portion
The Oklahoma portion is 40 scored items plus 10 pretest items — fifty questions on screen for a forty-question score. The national portion adds only 5. Pace the state portion for fifty.

The passing mark is scaled, not raw
70% scaled on each portion. A scaled score is not your count of correct answers, so do not try to compute your standing mid-exam.

The license is called Provisional Sales Associate
Oklahoma’s entry-level license is not "salesperson" — it is Provisional Sales Associate. Search for study material and application forms under that name.

Ninety hours, then IdentoGO, then apply
The order is fixed: complete the 90-hour pre-license salesperson course, complete a background check through IdentoGO, then apply. Exam instructions come only after the Commission approves the application.

Change or cancel 48 hours out, or lose the fee
You may transfer the fee or request a refund if you change or cancel at least 48 hours ahead. Inside 48 hours the fee is forfeited. Report to the test center 30 minutes before your appointment; once both portions are passed the Commission emails licensing instructions within 48 hours.

If you fail
Your Commission authorization covers unlimited attempts at each portion for a year, so a retake is a rebooking and another $75 for that portion — no new application. Retake only the portion you failed. Change or cancel at least 48 hours ahead to keep the fee.
