Why B is correct
The PEX row includes ASTM F876. Section 605.3 requires NSF 61 compliance and at least 160 psi working-pressure rating at 73.4°F for underground outside service; where available pressure is higher, the product rating must cover it. Assess the actual product certifications, not just its plastic family or a DWV marking: pressure-rated ABS and PVC appear in the table, and dual-rated products cannot be rejected by name alone.
