When may you pass on the right?
- AWhenever the right lane is empty.
- When the driver ahead is turning left, or on a road with two or more lanes each way.
- COn any paved shoulder when traffic ahead is slow.
Why B is correct
You may pass on the right when the driver is making or signaling a left turn, or on a roadway with two or more marked lanes each way. Never on a multi-lane highway shoulder.
