LLQP Accident & Sickness · Component 4.1 · 10% of the exam
A client exercises an FPO option. The insurer will require:
- Financial evidence of current income and other coverage, but no medical evidence
- BFull medical evidence, since the insurer must confirm that the client's health has not changed since issue
- CNothing at all, since the option was underwritten at issue and the increase is guaranteed on request
- DA paramedical examination, since the increased amount takes the benefit above the non-medical limit
Correct answer: A) Financial evidence of current income and other coverage, but no medical evidence
FPO removes medical underwriting only. Income must still support the increase.
Why the other options are wrong
- BMedical evidence is waived.
- CFinancial evidence is required.
- DParamedicals are medical evidence.
Exam tip
FPO exercise: financial evidence only.
Common mistake
Advising that FPO increases are automatic.
